Briefly. I just read the news, and I’ve been sitting here crying for, like, ten minutes. I had no idea something like that would affect me so much. It’s the best news I’ve heard in I don’t know how long; of course I would have expected it would make me happy, but not quite this happy. I’d always felt like she was an ally, and now I know. It’s still on the sidelines, still offscreen and announced in the aftermath, but it’s progress. I can’t even describe how happy it’s made me, so I guess I’ll just stop.

*wibbles* I think I cried for the better part of ten minutes, myself ♥
What?
Ouh, I see.
I haven’t actually gotten around to reading the last two books, but I searched for it anyway to see what you could be talking about (although I had guessed anyway). It is a pretty awesome development and probably not one that I will be pointing out to my mother any time soon.
I’m not as impressed as everyone else. . . he died in book six. . . wasn’t really allowed to show his true self (except in flashbacks in book seven, and even then it is subtext). . .it is a cliche, but this type of character always dies or is killed. . . .if she had let him live or had been explicit, then I’d be impressed. . . as is, not so much. . . .

Hmm. I’m relatively unsurprised by this revalation because I think I always kind of thought of Dumbledore that way, or maybe kind of asexual. I would’ve given her more props if she would have actually had it come out in the books themselves, not in some random interview months after the last book was released. *shrug* But I suppose it’s good that she at least admitted it and people can make of it what they will.
