Ah, a glorious Saturday off work, and I have stuff to dew. I shall detail it as I dew it. Maybe.

You know what’s the greatest thing in the whole fucking world to wake up to?? Fanart. Avek drawed me mas fanart, and it makes me almost die of love. Seriously, I’m all giddy because of it.

Approximation of the text conversation Mostle and I had yesterday:

Mostle: Today I will go to Wal-Mart and Silent Hill with Marshall!

Me: Just don’t go to the Wal-Mart IN Silent Hill.

Mostle: No, there would be creepsome welcome zombies in THAT Wal-Mart, and the regular welcomers are usually creepsome enough.

Five hours after getting up, I’m still only on the second panel of the first page that’s supposed to be up today. And I keep finding other things to do, like laundry and going to Safeway to get lunch. Not that those aren’t good things, but… well, whatever.

I need to go to Wal-Mart, too. Only, as previously mentioned, a moderately creepsome Wal-Mart.

So I’m thinking of emailing Yahtzee at last. Not to profess my mad distance crush, because on his site he specifically warns against doing that… but at least to profess my mad devotion to his extreme artistic genius. But I probably won’t. What can you say to someone like that that they haven’t already heard a million times?

OK, it’s sad when I’m being distracted from drawing HR by other HR-related stuff. Stop stop stop! Back to drawing!!

HA, FINALLY, there’s one page finished. That only took six hours to shade (minus whatever time I spent answering lj replies and going to Safeway). God, I can’t imagine what this project would be like wis good art. OK, well, actually, I can… it would have died after maybe three pages.

Man, I wish I were a gazillionaire and could afford to work only a little or not at all. Then I would force myself to write a chapter of something every week, and I’d be able to get through almost three update runs every year. That would be freaking awesome. Incidentally, I haven’t touched the MnI chapter since, like, last week. Despite my need to make out nice wis Chou.

Uh-oh. Now I’m debating whether to continue working on page 8 or to leave it for next week. Only one page = bad, but I have other stuff to do and my arm and back are kinda hurting already… I suppose I’ll work on it a little more and then see how I feel about finishing it.

Dream Theater’s later stuff sounds like they’re trying to imitate Megadeth in the moments when Megadeth doesn’t sound like they’re trying to imitate Metallica. Dream Theater is the last band in the world that needs to try to imitate someone (or sound like they’re trying to imitate someone), so this rather puzzles me. Not that they’re not still a hundred miles above everyone else in awesomeness.

OK, yeah, I don’t feel like working on this page any more. That was predictable. Hopefully I can manage three pages next week, since pages 9 and 10 kinda need to be presented together.

I shall finish my laundries before I go to Wal-Mart.
