It’s a total joke for me to do these pairing memes. Which is mostly why I do them, really.

Six ships you’re into right now:
1. Saitou/Sano
(from here on we’re defining “into” rather loosely)
2. Hiko/Saitou
3. Chou/Sano
4. Hiko/Katsu
5. Katsu/Soujirou
6. Katsu/Tokio

Three ships you liked, but don’t like anymore:
Honestly I can’t think of a single one.

Four ships you never liked:
10. Sano/Kenshin
11. Sano/Megumi
12. Draco/Harry
13. Shitennou/Inner Senshi (which, I suppose, is four all by itself)

Two ships you’re curious about, but don’t actually ship:
14. Kamatari/Misao
15. Zuko/Toph
(Admittedly these are more “pairings that don’t get written much {if ever} but that I would write if I ever thought of a plot”)

Why do you dislike #11 so much?
How much is “so much?” I don’t actively dislike it; I just don’t see any chemistry and have never read a fic about them that I enjoyed. I really hate how everyone pretends they’re a canon couple, and therefore assumes they don’t have to do any real work to hook them up.

Who is someone you know that ships #14?
Nobody. I’ve never heard of a Kamatari/Misao fic.

What would be your ideal scenario for couple #3?
Well, really, I can’t think of any idea I like better than the one I’m writing. If I could, I’d probably be writing it.

Which is your favorite moment for couple #1?
Good god, what a question! How the hell am I supposed to choose? Or are you referring to canon moments? Even there I don’t think I’d be able to pick just one. As far as fanfiction moments, most of my favorites would be from my own stories anyway, so it’s probably better just not to mention any XD

How long have you been following couple #6?
Ever since I decided they were going to hook up in ASZz. I think there are maybe two other stories in existence that pair them up, and I haven’t read them XD

What’s the story with #8? What made you stop liking them/caring?
n/a

You have the power to make one ship non existent. Choose from #10 or #12.
The problem I have with Sano/Kenshin is that a lot of people that write Kenshin as an uke do really painfully horrible things to his personality/character, things that make me wonder if they’ve ever experienced the canon in any form… and my problem wis Draco/Harry is largely the same; Draco is an asshole, and anyone that writes him differently is living in dreeaaamlaaaaaand. But as far as making one of them nonexistent? Why the hell would I want to do that? Nobody’s forcing me to read them.

Which ship do you prefer #2 or #4?
Self-evidently, the one that involves Saitou.

What interests you about #15?
I think they would be a good balance. The part in The Ember Island Players where Zuko gets all angsty and Toph talks him out of it and then punches him (albeit to “show affection”) is, I think, representative of what their relationship would be. She would (if you’ll forgive my wording) keep him grounded and tempered, while he would keep her from shutting herself off emotionally. Additionally, I think her common sense would be a great asset to him in ruling, whereas he would provide her with challenges she could enjoy tackling for the rest of her life.

Why did you stop liking #7?
n/a again. I really did try to think of pairings I’ve stopped liking, but there just aren’t any.

Did your waning interest in #9 kill your interest in the show?
n/a

What’s a song that reminds you of #5?
Nothing comes to mind right away, and I don’t have the patience to try to think of one.

If you could have any of these two pairings double-date, who would it be?
Probably Saitou/Sano and Hiko/Katsu. Mostly because it would be really funny. Actually, now I’m getting bunnies…

Have #2 kissed yet?
In the fic I’m writing about them? No. OK, well, I’ve written their first kiss… I just haven’t gotten that far linearly.

Did #4 have a happy ending? If the series hasn’t ended yet, do you think a happy ending is likely?
This question seems to assume I’ve chosen a bunch of boring canon couples. #4 has a happy ending whenever I think about it in my head.

What would make you start shipping #14?
Thinking of a plot for them and then starting to write the story.

If only one could happen, which would you prefer, #2 or #6?
Ooh, that’s a tough one. Probably #6, because they have the added bonus of being able to have Saitou/Sano going on in the background. Or the foreground.

You have the power to decide the fate of #13. What happens to them?
Of course Kunzite and Zoisite would hook up a la the anime, and Nephrite and Naru (*squee*) can get together wisout any stupid death. But speaking of death, Jadeite can just die or something because I really couldn’t care less about him. Then the Inner Senshi can pair off (Rei/Minako and Makoto/Ami) or can hook up wis Yuuichirou, Yaten, Tiger’s Eye, and Taiki.

Which of these ships do you dislike the most?
Probably Sano/Kenshin. Once again, though, it’s not technically the pairing I dislike, but rather the bastardization of Kenshin’s character that is often (though not inevitably) the result.

Which of these ships do you love the most?
Um, duhh.
