So first I had a customer named Barton, which is not really all that uncommon but still made me happy. Then a priest came in wearing a priestly collar, which, around here, is uncommon and totally made me go *_______* But the best thing of all was this:
Clothing tag, obviously. And it could really only be more awesome if the brand name were “Heero Yuy And Duo Maxwell Are Totally Gay For Each Other, Ltd.”
In other news, does anyone know whether there exists such a thing as a gauge plug that has a little hole in it to stick a traditional post-earring post through?
M/M LOOOL. What was the point in writing two M’s? There is no point, that’s what – this shirt creator is definitely one of us. ;)
If you see that priest again, tell him he should braid his hair~~
Tags usually give the first letter of the size for both English and Spanish, but in this case it’s the same letter. Put that right under “Forever 21,” and you’ve got yourself a very happy faery.
The priest, unfortunately, has quite short hair. And I don’t know how he’d take it if I said any of the possibly really weird things I had in mind as I looked at his collar XD It was still awesome to see him, though!!
I love seeing things like this. The M/M also makes it perfect. :-)
Isn’t it awesome?? Honestly, probably neither the “Forever 21” nor the “M/M” would have caught my eye by themselves. At least, not to this extent. But in combination? PERFECT.
Hahaha! I am laughing so hard because there is a store opening at the nearby mall, called Forever21.
I first went shopping there because my sister show me how many cool new outfits they had, about two years ago in her hometown.
You know how many times I have seen that name and not once has it clicked in?
When it opens up, I’ll snap a picture for you. OK! *^_^*
It’s a great brand name to begin with… but then add “M/M” (as if we didn’t already know quite well that 21 is male/male) and it’s pretty much the best thing ever.
I would totally shop at that store just for this reason, too :D
do you mean a type of earwear that will gradually stretch out your earlobe? as in, like, modify your body (allow me to sound like a parent for a moment: you know it’ll never close up, right?)
from what I know about this stuff, that’s pretty much the ONLY way to do it, start small and get bigger and it *hurts* since you’re forcing something slightly larger through a slightly smaller hole (all accounts I’ve heard indicate it’s actually stretching, not stamping out a chunk of your ear or anything)
if this IS what you’re talking about, I can stick my fangers in the interwebs as I have a relation who does this type of stuff professionally… you know, if that would help.
Nah, I’ve already done all that; both my piercings are six-gauges. What I’m looking for is plugs to go into them with hole the size of standard peg earrings. I almost never want to wear standard earrings — which is a large part of the reason I gauged my piercings in the first place — but I found these super adorable rainbow whale earrings (which I totally named Heero and Duo) that I wouldn’t mind wearing, if I could find adapters to make that possible.
I have been wondering about that same earring question. I have this pair of earrings I got with a necklace that I can wear by putting the backs on backward so they go into my ear holes, but that doesn’t work so well with earrings that don’t cover the holes in front.
Aren’t yours a bit smaller than mine, too? I don’t think there’s any earring back in the world that plays nicely with a six. Also, you saw the picture of the adorable whales, right??? Squee.
doy
dude! I have been going to forever21 for…well forever, and I can’t believe I never realized the heero\duo connotations. DAMN ME! usually I am ON IT with that. I feel rather dumb now.
as for the earring question, that would be pretty ballin if they had such a thing, as I also have size 6 ear holes. my solution was to pierce my lobes two more times so I could wear regular earrings, but that may not be for everyone! ^_^ my suggestion would be just to get some plain cheap size 6 plugs, use some wire cutters to the cut the posts off the back of your rainbow whales, [which sound ADOREable btw] and super glue them to the front of the plugs. just an idea.
kudos to all your delightful GW moments though! they make life worth living.
I think I get a little too excited about numbers in other contexts. I take pictures of totally unrelated things just because they’ve got certain numbers on them, and then later I’m like, Why did I take a picture of this…? But this one was just too perfect!!!
Cutting and gluing does sound like a pretty good idea, if I can’t find what I’m looking for. And, yes, my rainbow whales are SO FREAKING CUTE *__*
